Welcome to Project 1490

Our Code of Culture.
Here's how we roll:

1. Be the Grace and the Grit

Chase growth like it’s the last bus of the night. Let’s expand and celebrate all sides of who we are and encourage others to do the same. Comfort zones; shmumfort zones.

2. Get Real

Keep it absolutely real. Let’s make this a space where you and all people are comfortable showing up as their authentic selves. Trust isn’t just expected; it’s everything.

3. Ride or Die

Be the MVP in someone else’s journey. Celebrate the wins, have a shoulder ready for the rough days, and offer your strength in moments of doubt.

4. Celebrate Every Voice

Our differences? They’re our secret sauce. Let’s ensure everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. Encourage others to proudly showcase what makes them exceptional and unique.

5. Share the Wealth

Got skills or killer advice? Pass it on. We’re all about sharing the wisdom that helps us all level up 'cause no one can do it alone.

6. Keep It Positive

Roadblocks happen. Let’s tackle them with a smile and enough positive energy to light up a city. Remember, this community is new, so feedback is welcome—and just like each of us, it won’t be perfect, but it will be great!

7. What Happens in1490…

Stays in 1490. Bluntly: No screenshots, no shared pics, no gossip, and unless you’re given permission by the member to share—don’t. Let’s respect personal and professional boundaries and make this community safe and empowering for everyone. We recognize this network provides a great opportunity to find new jobs, new clients and new friends, but please use the appropriate channels to reach out to members you haven't met. There's nothing that sends people packing quite like being bombarded.

8. Never Stop Growing

Life’s too short to stand still. Let’s commit to being a little more badass every damn day, together.

That’s how we ensure Project 1490 isn’t just a community, it’s a launchpad for each and every member wherever they’re headed. The culture of this organization is essential to that mission and as members, each of us is responsible for maintaining it.
