About the event

DOB'S  are day-to-evening events designed for both the grace and grit of us. Maybe you'll take some target practice with recurve and compound bows, jump-start a car, build a campfire or herd some chickens! And, when the activities are done, we'll get fancied- up with a quick-change for dinner and gather in beautiful glamping lounge tent for a rich, leadership-focused discussion. Then, the doors will open to our dining tent, where a private chef will serve us and oustanding three-course, five-star meal. We'll share wine and stories under the stars and you'll leave with new friends, new ideas, and totally filled up!

WHAT TO WEAR

You're going to need two outfits!  Come in your super comfy athletic/outdoor gear, sneakers or hiking boots, and layers. It's so hard to tell what the weather will be, but we're going to be outside for the better part of the day (grit, baby). Hats, rain jackets, sunscreen—all could be good ideas depending whether it feels more like winter or spring or summer that day, but this isn't your first rodeo. And then, for the evening -- bring  a dress or something you feel great in (grace,  baby)! Have an outfit you wish you had a place to wear? This is the place! We will do a quick change before we sit down for dinner. (No heels though please, they don't mix well with tent floors where we'll be dining. Sneakers with dresses are most welcome!) The tents will be heated if it's cool out.

HOW TO GET HERE

Train: If you're coming from the city, you can take the Hudson Line from Grand Central up to Croton-Harmon Station. Please take the 12:35PM express train that gets in at 1:29PM and I will arrange transportation from the station to my house (and back again, unless you opt for an Uber to get home).

Car: If you're driving, the address is: 7 Bridge Lane, Croton-on-Hudson.  Once you turn onto Bridge Lane, we  are the first driveway on the left, but you can't see the house from the  road. Look for cinder-block retaining walls with two garbage cans and  come on up! Please arrive sometime no later than 1:45PM. There's tons of parking up the driveway.

Plane: The closest airport is White Plains (25 minutes away) and Ubers are easily accessible. Just lmk if you need to arrive early and if you need accommodations!

Please  Note:  We have a lot to experience, so we'll will start promptly at  2:PM. Hopefully, this will allow for any work to be done in the morning and give us a chance to really leave the world  behind. I am hopeful that we can put our phones away to really be  present. We'll take some breaks so things can be checked on - and of  course, if there's an emergency - you'll be able to take care of it.

ACCOMMODATIONS

We have a limited number of on-site accommodations: a luxury glamping tents with a queen bed ($150), an indoor guest room, an indoor private room with comfy futon, and couch space in a quiet space (sleepover style). Although there are no hotels nearby, there are a few Airbnb's in the 'hood and if you'd like any help finding a place, please let me know. If you are interested in staying over on-site, please do let me know and accommodations will be first-come, first-served!
